Socialism, not republicanism, is the real extremism - PittsburghLIVE.com
Here is an example of what the Democrats cited as positioning Janice Rogers Brown as an extremist:
"If we can invoke no ultimate limits on the power of government, a democracy is inevitably transformed into a kleptocracy -- a license to steal, a warrant for oppression."
To the Democrats that's extreme because Democrats do believe they have a license to have their hands in our pockets at all times. Your assets are not really yours, they are the government's assets. Translated you are talking socialism or with many in the Democrat Party communism. What really happens in a socialist or communist government is the power of the government is in the hands of a few instead of many.
Colin McNickle has more great quotes from Brown. I already like her just based on a few of her quotes from this article.
Ok - here's another one:
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit."Can you imagine Brown as a Supreme vs. Ginsberg or O'Connor? What a difference and impact on our lives these judges have.
